Training - To become an orthopedic surgeon, you need the following educational qualifications-

 

1. Ten years of post-secondary education. This includes-

* Undergraduate degree in science with a good grasp over subjects such as chemistry and biology. * A medical degree or a degree in osteopathic surgery of at least four years duration. *Five years residency in orthopedic surgery(one year in general surgery and four years in orthopedic surgery).
